5
Instant Bank Verification

When you choose to use Instant Bank Verification or another digital bank-verification method, you authorize the collection and review of banking information needed to assess and administer your application or account. This may include information used to confirm account ownership, income deposits, account activity, and other financial information relevant to eligibility and repayment.

Bank verification may be provided through a third-party service. The service provider may present its own privacy notice, consent language, and terms when you connect your account. Please review that information carefully before proceeding.

We do not ask you to send online-banking passwords by email or text message. Contact us immediately if you receive a suspicious request claiming to be from Credit4You.

6

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to:

  • Technology, hosting, communications, analytics, customer-support, document-management, and security service providers.
  • Identity-verification, bank-verification, fraud-prevention, payment-processing, banking, and funding service providers.
  • Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, collection providers, and legal representatives where reasonably required.

  • Another person where you direct us or provide valid consent.

Service providers are authorized to use personal information only for the services they provide to us, subject to their contractual and legal obligations.

8
Cookies, Analytics, and Online Technologies

Our website may use cookies, pixels, logs, and similar technologies to operate and secure the website, remember preferences, understand website usage, diagnose problems, measure performance, and improve services.

Some cookies are necessary for website operation. Other cookies, including analytics or advertising cookies, may be optional and subject to your choices and applicable consent requirements. You can adjust browser settings to block or delete cookies, although some website features may not function properly.

Where required, we provide additional notice or choice through a cookie banner or preference tool.

9
Email and Text Message Communications

We may send service-related communications about your application, account, funding, repayment schedule, payment status, security, or customer-support request. These communications may be necessary to provide or administer the service you requested.

We send commercial electronic messages only where permitted by applicable law. Marketing messages will identify the sender and include an unsubscribe mechanism.

Message frequency may vary and standard message or data rates may apply. You may stop marketing text messages by replying STOP and may request help by replying HELP. You may also contact contact@credit4you.ca.

Opting out of marketing messages does not necessarily stop important service, transactional, legal, fraud-prevention, or security communications.

Mobile opt-in information and consent records are not shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

10
Retention and Disposal

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy and to meet legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, recordkeeping, dispute-resolution, and enforcement requirements.

Retention periods vary depending on the type of information, the relationship with you, the sensitivity of the information, and applicable requirements. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to securely delete, destroy, or de-identify it.

11
Security Safeguards

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. These may include access controls, encryption in transit, network and system monitoring, backups, firewalls, staff confidentiality obligations, service-provider controls, and incident-response procedures.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security, but we continually work to reduce risk and protect personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Never send banking passwords, one-time security codes, or other highly sensitive credentials by ordinary email or text message.
12
Access, Correction, and Privacy Complaints

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information we hold about you and request correction of information that is inaccurate or incomplete. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

In limited circumstances, access may be restricted or refused as permitted by law. If that occurs, we will explain the reason unless prohibited from doing so.

You may also raise a privacy concern or complaint. We will review and respond in accordance with our privacy procedures.

Send requests to our Privacy Officer at contact@credit4you.ca.

13
Service Providers and Processing Locations

We use service providers to support our operations. Depending on the provider, personal information may be processed or stored in Canada or another jurisdiction. Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement, or regulatory authorities in accordance with those laws.

We use contractual and other measures designed to provide a comparable level of protection while information is handled by service providers.

14
Age Requirement

Credit4You products are intended for adults who meet the applicable age and eligibility requirements. We do not knowingly accept loan applications from individuals under 18 years of age.

15
Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices, services, technology, or legal requirements. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before applying a material change to previously collected personal information.
